In true beauocratic fashion, I received a notice to appear in court yesterday - 36 hours after the scheduled hearing. What?
The paperwork stated over and over again that "Your appearance is not mandatory. It is your right as a victim to be notified of a hearing in which sentencing may occur." They even included paperwork about victims' rights to compensation. Victim's rights, Rah Rah Rah!!!
Um. I can't really appear unless I can also time travel. It's all so logical, it hurts my teeth.
