As the women were discussing this morning, woe is us, in our dresses - with the rain. Even worse, when Kevin and his brother walked in from errands this morning, they were COVERED in person-shaped wet clothes; meaning, they were entirely drenched. Soaked to the bone. Add a little flour, and I could have brought home a papier mache husband.
Pretty dresses and hairstyles are so much less fun when weather is involved. The exception, of course, is if pretty dresses and fancy hairstyles are used in a rainy Hollywood scene. (That being the case, we'd all get to play out our favorite moment from Pride and Prejudice. Right, Mr. Darcy?) The only exception to this fantasy, is today's bride. Nothing short of a flood is going to make her look less radiant or exceptional. It's going to be a fabulous day, indeed.

Also it's considered good luck if it rains on your wedding day (don't pay attention to Alanis) :)
