Every month, I pay good money to receive a certain number of magazine subscriptions. When the magazines arrive, I feel happy; glad to read through "important" things.
Yesterday I received my free Williams-Sonoma catalog in the mail. Happy happy, joy joy! I panted through every page, ecstatic with wide-eyed wonder. Before you judge my doofishness, you should know that this is no ordinary catalog. It's the THANKSGIVING edition - full of gluttonous encouragement.
And so begins the holiday season in the Hirsch/Benson household. Brace yourself.
