Bunniness and Her Royal Garden

August 23, 2005

This weekend we went to a magical restaurant called The Royal Garden. The food is affordable Middle Eastern fare, but the environment (if you overlook the plastic chairs) is a woodsy surrounding, all tables nestled around incredibly tall trees - whose foliage 20 feet above our heads provided the canopy. Exotic birds of all types walked between the tables, or roosted in guilded cages. It was fun.

In the middle of our meal, as I was looking over Kevin's shoulder, behind a tree and over a tiny foot bridge popped a happy little rabbit. Oh. The. Glee.

I spent the next 5 minutes grinning, watching every hop as she visited tables and pursued an invisible trail of bunniness.

I lost sight of her after she paused by one of the waterfalls. When I was through eating I tried to find her, but the grown ups sitting at the tables did not appreciate my wandering and cooing in their direction.

All in all, one of the happiest meals I've ever, EVER had.

T.

PS: Oh, and Chelly? It was like a real life Alice in Wonderland. Wish you were there.
