How much fussing must you DO, woman?!!

January 10, 2005

Kevin's back at work after taking a month off to record vocals with me. The house is cold without him here! I'm sitting in the studio, watching the rain fall sideways to the ground after getting snagged in the wind...thinking about getting a warm cup of tea going in my hands.

Everything's in such a weird place now. I'm starting to let go. Making finishing decisions. Handing it over to capable hands for mixing. One by one the songs are marching out the door. "'Bye, Timberline! Be good to John! I'll see you on the other side!" Maybe it's just me, or maybe the whole world already knows it, but finishing a long-obsessed-over project is a difficult thing. As much as I want to kick it out the door in a violent stroke of frustration, I'm pansy with fussing over it like it's the most precious thing in the world.

I'll keep you posted on my sanity as this part of the process winds down. Cuz you're gonna wanna know...it's just that interesting.

Thanks for reading.
