ohmygod. I can't believe January is almost over. It's flying, people! Pretty soon we'll have February...I'll have my chocolate cravings around the 14th (that's a hint, Kev)...then we'll be in March...and before you know it, I'll be 73 years old, living in the month of June sometime in the 2040s - which is when I predict we'll have robots ruling the world. MAKE IT STOP!
Actually, the ever spinning globe is not why I feel helpless this morning.
John printed 5 songs yesterday - and by "printing" I mean that once they're printed, they can never ever ever be changed...not unless I pull out thousands of dollars burning a hole in my pocket and hand it over.
But, no. That's not why I feel helpless either.
I feel helpless because John called me last night to say that he was having computer problems...DRIVE problems...problems with the only existing copies of my songs. They're kinda sorta fixed, but not really. And then this morning he sent me an email saying that the damage is even worse than we supposed. So I don't know what the new game plan is. We have the songs. Those five lovely songs are ready to go...but we have 7 more to finish! (Just so you know, technically, we have 6 songs that we could print, but the last one we're holding off on...so when I said "halfway there" in my recent post, I wasn't LYING...Kevin.
It's weird how years of work boils down to this. Kinda like when I'm 73 and my life will probably boil down to keeping my teeth, hair and posture. Boy, someone's cynical today.
