So, six of the songs are mixed and will be printed in their final incarnation tomorrow. Kinda freakin' me out! In a good way!
Two and a half years' worth of work is boiling down to these 14 days of mixing and recalling. The feeling is impossible to describe. Absolute joy mixed with SHEER.FUCKING.PANIC.
The last bassline was recorded this morning - just in time to be mixed, I might add! Hector was amazing on bass. Carter was astounding on cello. Emily was incredible on violin. And Kevin...he rocked the tambourine! All around, I'm about the luckiest girl in the world to be pocketing such musical contributions.
Just needed to share the progress. If I had a Livejournal, I would display those annoying little tickers that countdown whatever random progress you're charting. It would be pointed to "Halfway There!" And, yes! There would be exclamation points involved! And maybe I'd even have those pastel teddy bear icons dancing in the background for good measure. Gag. But you know I'd TOTALLY do it.
