The Wizard

October 25, 2004

We celebrated Halloween a little early. Yesterday was Kevin's birthday...so on Saturday we held a Halloween/Birthday party. We got all spiffy looking. Surprisingly, some people weren't sure who I was supposed to be.

Hmm.

So last week I became a total freak. Baking baking baking. MUST. HAVE. MORE. SUGAR. I wouldn't stop with the food, the cleaning, the decorating. Oh, everything.

But the party was a lot of fun. Of course, I was like a 6 year old at a dinner party - prying my eyes open because I want to be a grown up, but really just ready to konk out and let all the big people do the talking. Next year: Pace Myself.

Production is still going strong. I bought some new(er) software yesterday and am spending the day today wearily going through it. There's so much I don't know. It's overwhelming. I know you're probably wondering why on this earth someone would start an album and then continue to purchase new software throughout the recording process. Isn't that like re-inventing the wheel?

Yes.

Yes, it is.

I've been at it so long, there's bound to be advances in technology throughout the process...but I'm too invested in the project to KNOW about an upgrade/new release/whatever and not take advantage of it.

So that's my rationalization.

But all's well.

Really and truly.

I'm like a bright, shiny bulb...kinda vacant half the time...but oooooh, so glowy.
