Remember when we went to that sushi restaurant and had to move to a new table because we were sitting next to Danny Bonaduce and he was too loud? Tonight we went to that same restaurant and found a quiet table in the corner of the room. There was one other table in that section of the restaurant - completely secluded from the rest of the room. We weren't sitting for more than 2 minutes before a really sweet, beautiful woman walks over to us with about 3 children around her. She says, "Oh, no. I hope we don't bother you." And she indicates to the few more children following behind her as she takes the table next to us. We look at the large family and decide we DO have to move. It would just be too loud and uncomfortable. I knew I recognized her...but it took me a minute before I remembered how. As we took our menus and walked out of that section, we passed her husband who was with a few other children. He stopped me as I walked by and said, "We're not making you leave, are we?" I said it was ok - that I hadn't seen Kevin in over a week and we just wanted a little quiet. Nothing personal. He joked, "That's ok. We'll just find your new table and we'll sit next to you." We laughed. They offered to buy us a drink to make up for the inconvenience. We declined and found a new table.
They were VERY nice people. Kevin thought it was really cool of them to be so considerate of other people, etc. At that point, I told him we had just been kicked out of that room by Chelsea Noble and Kirk Cameron. He laughed. Our faith in celebrity kindness was restored.
Dude. Can I just say that if I had known back in the 80s that one day I would stand a foot away from Kirk Cameron and have a laugh, I would've, like, died. Sigh.
And just to note: Kevin's Survivor program aired last night on CBS channel 2 in Los Angeles at 7:30 pm - right before Survivor. It was the highest rated pre-show program in the show's history. Rah, Kev! It rocked.
