Thursdays I have a standing date with Katie. We get together for breakfast and lean towards conversations about writing and art. She's this awesome poet and short fiction writer. Her career goals are about as accessible as mine and together we bond over the fruity and heady direction of our individual muses.
She's been encouraging me to read essays on the process of writing. Even though the information mainly relates to fiction or poetry, I can apply some of the theories to my music. I tell you, lyrics have never been this much fun.
On Saturday I'll be at Spaceland for Noe Venable's performance. Can't wait. It's going to be all shades of a good weekend. xo
