The fire was controlled on its way down the mountain to my mom's house. She and her neighbors are the lucky ones. I've heard countless stories of friends and friends-of-friends who are among the 1,100+ people to lose their homes. Again, thank you to everyone who was concerned about us.
In other news, I'm going to get my first dose of Live Ani tomorrow night. Third row. I haven't followed her music since _Little Plastic Castle_ so I'm wondering how many songs I'll know. As I was listening to some of her albums this afternoon, I kept thinking "THIS is my favorite Ani song. No...THIS is..." And so it went.
