Spent the afternoon in the company of Karen Jacobsen, a wonderful singer/songwriter who I'm proud to call a friend. I felt a sense of vitality that lacks in my life when I shut myself away in the house. She's reminded me how fantastic it is to have friends who know without explanation what it is to put out independent albums. So many things feel better today than they did yesterday.
